This is great, trying to transfer number from a different provider and get a message saying "O2 has found a problem with your existing mobile account". After a few phone calls I got put through to O2 who said they're having migration problems from other networks, try again in a few hours. No way. Workaround is to register as a new customer and ring O2 tomorrow with your PAC code!

    Woo just finished activation!

This may be the same problem we had in the US.

The solution was simple, but not obvious.

Here if you moved and changed you address and ended up outside the original area code, the system would fail.

For example. Where I live the phone numbers are all 1-920-XXX-XXXX. But if I moved south my phone works fine, however the area code is 414, so the number is 1-414-XXX-XXXX.

But the system knows that my area code of 920 does not belong in the new address area I have. So it faults.

So all I can say is if you have moved and are using a new address, enter you old address original used when you first got that number. See if that works and let us know... again, that if you moved....

I had the same problem. Just register the phone as completely new and get a new number without selecting that you want to port the number. Once it activates just call O2 for free from your iPhone on 2302 and their customer services just do it for you over the phone.
