Have you called them on that number to discuss options?

No, I'm going to wait until WWDC. I don't see the point of calling now because I'm sure they won't say anything even if they do know about the new iPhone. After WWDC I'll call up and ask if I can upgrade to the new iPhone, if not then I guess I'll take the £100.

Since it doesn't seem like anyone else has got the email, I'm starting to think they have messed up and made a mistake on my account, but even if they have I'll fight to try to get at least the £100 credit since I have been offered it.

Fair enough. Good plan.

It's in the small print at the bottom that new handsets are not included in the offer. It's a general mailing for customers or it would say Iphone within the email. Doubt you want to change to a nokia so the £100 would be best I think.

i got one of those emails...though i'd cancelled my contract 3 months previous...

o2 just seem to send them out stupidly and probably don't actually mean you have an upgrade!

just my opinion!

EDIT - only 369 emails in your inbox... man.. that is tidy.. i've got over double that in mine!

I just have a rule that moves anything older than 2 weeks into an archive. I find that if you leave many thousands of mails in your inbox then it can slow mail checking down sometimesl

I also received that e-mail from o2. 1st day iPhone purchase.

I had an o2 account prior to the iPhone purchase, and switched the tariff over.

I assume it was sent in error but I'll wait until the 3G announcement to contact them.

They've almost definitely screwed up, fortunately they did this to a friend of mine (not me though, but I'm with T-Mobile who seem more on the ball with this thing... :( ), who was only 2 months into his contract, but they do honour this sort of thing, although you have to be a little firm with them as they do try to wriggle out of it, so yeah you're lucky!

I'm thinking this maybe true. I've had mine since launch day so will look out for an email from them. Would be terrific if they gave us a deal on a new one. After all we did pay £269 for it.
