We use O365, which includes Skype IM. I'm not a fan of the Skype client, as it regularly has issues with sending IMs to other users and fails to notify of incoming messages. I have tried the Slow Insider and Fast Insider updates to no avail. The latest update plays the annoying sign-in sound, regardless of notification settings.
