So. California
New iMac scheduled for a Friday 3/29 delivery to my home about 60 miles north of Los Angeles. It went from Shanghai China to Oakland CA and now has been shipped to MEMPHIS TN! Sure hoping that strange routing is normal for FedEx! Geessh.... But hey, I’m not anxious or anything! Lol

Heck, my BTO orders usually went from Shanghai to Anchorage before heading to Memphis.

My iMac for my daughter, despite the strange routing, arrived today 3/28, one day sooner than was most recently indicated and 1 week earlier than the original delivery date! Great job FedEx and Apple! :)

Memphis is FedEx’s main distribution hub. It went there to be sorted sort of speak since your computer was in a pallet of other packages.

That makes sense. A lot of container ships arrive in Oakland, CA.

Heh, you should probably be glad it avoided the dreaded City of Industry, CA shipping gyre. Anytime one of my FedEx packages enters one of those facilities, I know it's probably going to take another 3 to 5 days with my package ping ponging a couple of miles up and down the street before it finally lands on something going to a delivery hub.
