Obtaining a new microsim from ATT

I am currently under contract with ATT with my 3GS and would like to buy an unlocked iPhone 4. Problem is my 3GS has full sized sim and iPhone 4 has micro sim. Is there a way of getting a new sim from ATT without a new contract? I know I can cut to size would this work if not?

Go buy a non-contract iPhone and have them give you a sim card. Ta-da!

I want unlocked not no contract i.e. Not just for ATT

Well then your not buying an iPhone in the US. All iPhones sold in the USA are locked to ATT.

Ever heard of Canada, UK, France, Australia etc. iPhone is going to be unlocked there. I never said I would buy it in the US and have no intention of doing it.
