Hi,

My iPhone 6S (with Apple sillicone case) dropped on a soft surface (flooring) from about 1 meters high.
There's no visible damage, but I was wondering if the iPhone screen builds up some "tension" every time it drops.

I know it sounds a little bit OCD-like... But I'm very curious about the overall iPhone 6S build quality (and protection of the sillicon case). So please no OCD-remarks ;-)

Your phone should be fine. The screen is seated on top of the rest of the phone so there should be no tension unless your phone is bent.

If it's damaged, you'll see/hear it's damaged.

If it looks and sounds fine, it is fine.

Funny you ask, my old samsung note 3 developed a dark purple spot that kept getting bigger and bigger after it got dropped one time too many. It didn't become visible immediately after the drop that did it, it typically surprises the morning after. Google it, plenty of similar cases.

One or two drops should be fine though :p

Did you drop it on soft flooring (mine is fluffy ;-) )

Lol funny tou should ask again. YES! Of all the drops this phone has suffered, this relatively unharmful fall did it.

It survived even when I accidently dropped it on the train track, and it only had this samsung flipcover as protection... I guess somehow all the drops did build up to the final straw...

Let me remind you about the fact that the iPhone 6s actually has one of the strongest displays of all smartphones? At least, if I'd believe all those videos on YouTube. You should be totally fine, no doubt on that.
