Couldn't wait for an iPad pro 2018 11 inch from refurb store apple and ad a great deal on pencil and case all 3 caring about 960 USD.

The iPad was 256 GB model. When it arrived I was dismayed to see that bottom corner and top corner on right seemed a bit darker them the rest. Figured might be a flaw so I ordered a 2md one figuring this one would go back.

Well 2nd one basically had same thing and noticed in apple store all the floor models had it to some degree.

Anyway I have 2 iPad pros at home. They are slightly different and deciding which to keep as seems I either got used to the dark corner or it has lessened over a few days.

1st iPad is slightly cooler screen tint, build date was Sept 2019. Battery is registering at 103% on Imazing. So a bit over capacity.

2nd iPad build is August 2019. Screen is tiny bit warmer but at top brightness you can't really tell the difference and in photos or videos you really have to look closely side by side to see a difference. It is registering at 105% battery. It also seems to be bit brighter at max brightness over the other iPad.
At max brightness in dark room on black screen this iPad has tiny bit of light bleed which is not visible at under 70% brightness. Not sure if this is due to the panel maybe being a bit brighter too. Either way functionally am only even at that brightness in the day time and it is not visible. Even watching video in dark room at max brightness it is not visible . Oddly sever off axis viewing it is brighter than the 1st iPad and color shifts more red shade of white whereas 1st iPad shifts darker and a bit yellowish.

The 2nd iPad is 6 days newer so would have a bit longer warranty too.

TL:DR. Do I go for the first iPad with the more white screen with newer build date ?

Or go with the 2nd iPad that will have extra week of warranty is a tad brighter and 2 % more battery capacity but has some off axis color shift at extreme angles and some tiny light bleed that is not noticeable except in extreme darkness on solitary black screen at max brightness?

Can attach pictures if people can help. I have 4 more days to return iPad 1.

Go for the first iPad.

Thanks am leaning that way. The second has some advantages such as a bit brighter at max and the battery is spec a bit better by 1.8% but the color is a bit warmer and shifts to different color off axis

I used to be like this. Still am to some degree. I have worked very hard to not worry about such things because all it did was drive me nuts. For example, I have an LG OLED TV that is known to have some unevenness in the screen so people use gray patterns to check the unevenness. I never used the gray pattern. It was hard at first because I wanted to know, but after a little while I forgot about it and now couldn't care less. The TV looks great to my eyes in normal use, I absolutely love it. Since then I have committed myself to only worrying about the things I can see in normal use. I don't go looking for problems anymore. Part of that is not being on forums as much.

I am not telling you to settle. Nor am I trying to let Apple off the hook. All I am saying is that all of these things are going to have things that you can find that bother you. To help save your sanity, I would consider not going defect hunting when you get a device (or any object for that matter). You will always find something and that will always get your blood pressure up. In the end, the couple percent of battery, slight difference in color temp, few extra days of warranty, all of these things will make no difference and you will forget about them in a few weeks.

Thanks for this, a great answer and you were absolutely right in that the difference in them is relatively small.
When I don’t have them side-by-side it is hard to notice the difference unless I know what I am looking for. I was not really looking to try to defect search per say except that my initial order when it came there was a darkness in the corners and I thought maybe this was a defective unit. It was at that time I ordered the second one and noticed that the changes were almost the same. Now having played with both for a few days it is clear that the differences are a very subtle screen temperature difference. And subtle colour difference on off angle viewing with one getting a bit darker and the other one getting a bit more reddish. Had I had either one for the week I think I would’ve been fine with it
My only debate is trying to decide which one to return.

well after all that the one I was planning to keep hardly seems to have a small white dot on the screen in the bottom left which I don't recall being there yesterday. So I guess my decision has been made for me as that one will be going back.

I would always go for the white (cool) display over anything warmer. It’s a particular bug bear of mine.

Well I was going to keep the first one but then it developed a small white dot lower left corner reminiscent of the 10.5 inch iPad pro but much smaller. So returned it. Tried to see if they would exchange my warmer model but they said since bought from ape refurb site they could only accept as a return but not to swap.
So am ordering another at their recommendation since they said if I am I unhappy I shouldn't settle.
