Apps Oceanhorn Losing Save State

Twice since I downloaded it, Oceanhorn has lost my save state and I had to start over.

The first time it happened I thought it was due to the fact I had downloaded the iOS version (a few days after starting a game on ATV). There is no iCloud sync so I thought that was the issue.

I stopped playing the iOS version a week ago, but this morning the save state on ATV was gone again after a few hours of play had been saved.

Anyone having this issue?

I've read that but I took it as the cloud sync is broken so you can pickup on ATV or iOS and continue your game. If the actual save of your game state to cloud/local is broken then the game is unusable. Unless you plan to finish it in one sitting.

It doesn't lose my game progress, but I lose things like the about of bloodstone (is that what it's called?) that I've minded, although heart quarters. I had 5 complete hearts and then had 4 (but three quarter hearts). Thought I was imagining it then played again and only had 4 (and a quarter).

Very annoying. The game is very good though and has translated to Apple TV well.

Just got this reply back fro the developer:

Thank you for playing Oceanhorn!

We are very sorry for the bug you have encountered! Your save game should still exist in iCloud. We have an update coming soon, which should enable you to access your save game. Meanwhile, please, do not start a new game in the same save slot. That would overwrite your existing save game.

The update is at testing phase and we hope to get it out in a week.​

Hi all.

The app appears to be updated. In the end up I lost my entire game. I am a bit hesitant about starting another game for the same thing to happen. I was about 12 hours in!

Has the update solved the problem?
