Greetings!
I'm running Monterey 12.7.6 with OCLP 2.2.0 on the MacPro 5,1 (2010) on a SATA SSD
The Bluetooth-WiFi is the stock card, the BRCM2046
This Mac Pro also has a PCI 3.0 card:
On Monterey, both WiFi and Bluetooth work once applied the Root Patches (the Bluetooth chipset is then detected as "THIRD_PARTY_DONGLE"). Also, on a separate SSD in which I have unpatched Mojave: natively, it works and is recognized as the Broadcom 2046. Additionally, Bluetooth also works on a separate Windows 10 hard disk (MBR).
However, I did a clean installation of Sequoia 15.3 on a new volume (not partition) of the same SSD which has Monterey and while the WiFi works, the Bluetooth doesn't.
I thought that maybe the OpenCore for Monterey could interfere with the one for Sequoia since the required patches could be different. Hence, I did a clean install of Sequoia 15.3 on a separate hard disk (Not SSD). Still, same results: WiFi is working but Bluetooth isn't.
Things I tried without success:
- Re-built and Re-installed OpenCore (several times)
- Re-patched the Root Patches, including the Legacy Wireless (several times)
- Deep PRAM (4 times) and SMC reset
- Removed the Monterey SSD in case the OC boot would interfere with the one installed on the Sequoia Hard Disk (not sure if this is possible, but just in case)
- With OpenCore Configurator, I confirmed that both Bluetooth kexts are enabled. Also, I disabled them and re-enabled them just in case, without success.
A couple of years ago, I tried Ventura but I had the same issue, so I sticked with Monterey.
I read posts of people mentioning the stock WiFi and Bluetooth are working even on Sequoia but I don't know what I am missing here.
Any help would be appreciated
