    PLEASE HELP A NEWBIE *

    1. What is a good OCR software for MAC? I need to convert scanned PDF to Word for Mac and keep the existing format.

    2. Are there any tips or tutorials for how to format /fn keys/Command Keys for Word for Mac?

    3. Good Dictation software

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    1. Type PDF in the Mac App Store. There are some programs there!

    2. I don't understand what you're asking.

    3. Double tap FN on the left side of your keyboard and let it download Enhanced Dictation. Then just do it whenever you want to use Dictation!

If you are asking about how to add your own custom keyboard shortcuts, it's under keyboard in system preferences. I have set F1 and F2 to go back and forth between tabs in Safari as an example.

    1. I can recommend OCRKit, it is fast and affordable for iPhone and Mac.

    2. you can choose edit: special characters, and pick the opt, cmd, ... symbols there.

    3. I only use the Mac built-in dictation so far.
    :)
