Octo Mac benchmarks (unofficial 8-core Mac Pro)

I'd love more cores but I'm still stuck with raw clock speed until I get more mutlithreaded applications.

Interesting to see Kentsfield lead the gaming benchmarks.

Lead? It was the slowest. At least the Xeons were, the standard one did better mind.

It does fall under the X####-Series of Extreme processors. So it's not a Xeon but a Core 2 Quad. 🙄

You get unlocked multipliers for fun OC times.
 
i was gonna wait out for the 8 core Mac Pro's... but i couldn't cuz my G5 died.🙁

even tho this benchmark is not official from a real 8 core MP, at least i don't feel too bad getting a 3GHz MP for now. thanks!
