The Feb 2011 MBP release came with one of the most significant speed increases we've seen in these laptops yet some still aren't sure it's good enough...

Going from 2 cores to 4 cores is a leap. Going from 4 cores to 4 cores is a step.
IMO we haven't seen a jump like this since the Core architecture. If you want a gaming machine, getting a desktop would provide both better performance and costs. Furthermore, the graphics cards you can get in desktops often vary more and offer more 'extreme' capability. As far as laptops go, if the current MBP isn't going to cut it, you are not going to find a laptop that does IMO.
