I think I can speak for everyone and say WTF, release the damn phone already! We haven't even gotten a definite blurry picture of the damn device!

Wow, this place has really gone nuts. One rumor saying another rumor is false and everyone gets excited over it??

And now arguing when Winter starts...

By the way, December is mostly in the Fall. Somebody does need to go back to school. :)

The iP5 can't come soon enough.

Pushed Back from what originally?

How can something that was never given a release date be pushed back?

Stop with these technicalities. It doesn't help discussion.. just so you can be "right". You know what is meant.

Check your facts before posting?

December IS winter. Calendar Winter starts late December, yes... but meteorological winter starts December 1st ... which, IMO.. is a bigger deal. Solar Winter actually begins in November.

Most people consider all of December to be Winter.

But the thing is: this is just a different rumor. Apple never set an official date, so nothing is delayed. Just like when rumored releases of video games get pushed back when the developers never actually set a date. Not a 'push'. Just a different rumored release date.

Even if it's released in mid-December, it's still considered "Fall".

So technically, we still should be happy campers even if it's released on December 21st. :):):):):)

these 2 points are spot on.

how can there be a delay if there's no official set date. Both dates are guesses/rumors. Fall runs from the tail end of Sept til the tail end of December, so any date in that is valid. It'd only count as a delay if it came out after this time.

Apple said Fall last year for 4.2 and that came out 22/11/10... there's something to dwell on

You're saying Duke Nukem Forever has never been delayed?

I could not disagree more.

First.. no, Apple has not announced official release dates. But you can still have a delay of anything that has not been made official.

Second... yes, according to the calendar - December is mostly a "fall" month, however very few people consider December to be fall. I'm not religious.. but do you consider Christmas and those weeks leading up to it to be an autumnal celebration?? No.

I can't remember one instance of anything being released in December titled as being "Fall". Even movies... "coming Fall 2011" .. is usually late Sept - November. December is typically referred to as "the Holidays".

Find me one product/entertainment release in December referred to as "FALL".

a delay would be if Apple was to say it's not going to launch in fall, but next summer - simple
since it's still coming out in fall, there's no delay

The only way you can have a delay of something that's not made official is if you know the internal company's target date, which no1 here knows. We've been told Fall, so if it comes out after Fall, then it's a delay.

I was just pointing out when Fall ends offically. I'm not saying it will release december, but based on when Apple said Fall for iOS 4.2 last year and it came out in November, that's the sort of time i had in mind when they said iOS 5 was going to be released, between october and november. I'm just saying that if they were to release in early december, it would not count as a delay.
