Other October Delivery

Ok, so who here has pre-ordered one of the new iPhone 16 models, but it's still not arriving on Release day & has been pushed into October?
Both my husband and I ordered yesterday - mine coming between the 2nd & 7th, but his is not coming until the 8th-14th.

I’m sitting at October 8th-14th but I'm going to wait and see if I can snag one for in store pickup morning of the 20th depending on what happens with my order. I haven’t lined up for a iPhone since the 4, so I have no idea what the day of process is anymore.

My 1TB Pro Max Titanium Black was ordered 12 minutes after pre-orders opened up, and I'm looking at 10/2 - 10/9 delivery. Seems like everyone else is getting theirs on launch day.

thats crazy because i got the same config at like 9:40pm EST, and had 10/2 to 10/7 delivery.

This happened to me as well. I couldn't get the site to load for 10-15 mins. I have a delivery of 2nd-7th. I feel the same though... so many people were able to get a launch day delivery date. I didn't think with it being delayed 10 minutes would push my order out like 3 weeks.

I’ve seen this (after I had already pre-ordered) and know for next time. This is the 1st time pre-ordering on “pre-order day” and missing out on a launch day delivery.

Having two devices is probably the best way to go, I opened the iPhone app at 1pm exactly and got the please wait on this screen for pre orders to start message, around 2-3 minutes later I opened the app on my iPad and was straight in and ordered within 20 seconds, I could close and open the iPad app at will and browse the store, the phone app would not let me in for close to 10 minutes.

You can check Apple's site on launch morning and see what is available for purchase at all of your nearby Apple Stores.

I have done that in the past when my launch day phone was delayed.

Inventory changes each morning so it pays to check every morning as the Apple Stores receive new stock.

Once you see your identical configuration, make the purchase and pick up at the Apple store w/ appointment time.

Easy peasy....

Same. I really hope we all get moved up, but if not, we will all get our new phones some time in October. I'm just not a very patient person 🤣.

Same. My preorder isn’t arriving until mid October. But I’ve been able to walk in to a store on launch day before and buy one. Going to try that again and cancel the pre order.

Black 128 Pro - Oct7-21
White 128 Pro - same
Desert 128 Pro Sept 30- Oct 14
Natural 256 Pro - launch day

Had desktop web browser and phone app open. Desktop loaded before app. Took 15-20 minutes to get in. Gave me issues with payment info. By then delivery sept 30 - oct 2. Those dates will actually be better for me as I’ll be teleworking 2 of those 3 days.

You just have to check often. All 4 colors in all 3 sizes of the pro Max have come in stock for short periods for pickup in my metro area (large US city) in the past 24 hours

As a result I’ve had launch day pickup reservations for all 4 colors since yesterday. But I’ve settled on Black

I agree with checking often. I ordered a 16pro 512gb white titanium and my dates was Oct 2-7. I was checking the App Store and my configuration popped up at a local Apple Store. I cancelled original order and now have one for store pickup on Saturday the 21st

Yeah, PM’s are hard to get this year it seems like.

For PM models, I just tried configuring one. Prior to today, for instore pickup, the message always said something like "not available for pickup in your area". Just now, the message says "check back later for 9/20 availability"
