This woman is insane. Someone need send a t1000 and terminate her ass. Top it off, one of her first kids is autistic requiring high and i mean HIGH levels of care. Now she has more??? Add the fact there us a high chance a few of her 8 children will most likely have health problems to top it off. Rediculous.

It seems this "expert" bypassed crucial first steps in planning a family, like finding a caring husband with a reliable job. Real experts question the ethics of this latest multiple birth. What "expert" advice could Nadya possibly offer?

Side thought: There is no consumer vehicle large enough for her family. She'll likely have to mod a school bus to hold 14 car seats and strollers with enough remaining room for groceries and assistants.

Perhaps this vehicle would hold them? ;)

I call this exploitation of children amidst a rather selfish, planned path to wealth and fame. I bet she had this idea from the get-go.

Yes, it typically happens in third world countries where family have lots of children, so they would have child laborers to work on the family farm. In this case it is an attempt at gold digging via media.

Was that a stab at my BFF Ms. Hilton?? :D

I'm no fan of Ms. Hilton, but at least she's not having 14 babies. And to intentionally have a huge litter with the sole purpose of achieving infamy and monetary gains is disgusting.

It's sad to me that the TLC channel has made celebrities out of families that simply have many children. What is the fascination people have with a large family? And the documenting of the mundane chorus of those families? Zzzzzzzzzz.....

The LA Times provided some analysis on the public outrage, the probable medical costs incurred so far, and her chances at fortune...

This sounds very diseased to me... there are people who choose other kinds of elective surgeries repeatedly and against medical advice -- particularly but not only plastic surgery -- in many ways, this woman sounds very similar to them. Actually, one of the articles says the grandmother feared the same thing and even sought out professional help in that regard. Oh, and one of the children is autistic... raising an autistic child is a challenge if they're your only one. An autistic child plus thirteen other ones?

A couple of random asides... CorvusCamenarum mentioned the issue of paternity... I would hope for the sake of whatever poor person whose DNA became involved in this, that he was at least a blind donor (and that this woman just had all the eggs fertilized with the same blind donor), and he does not have to get involved. That's not fair at all.

Other random aside --

Nadya Suleman, who describes herself as a “professional student” living off education grants and parental money, broke up with her boyfriend before the birth of her first child seven years ago.

This seems like a very odd turn of phrase. Is she in grad school or is she not? Although I guess this article basically says that she's something like on leave of absence from a Master's level program....
