Just a quick question, would you guys recommend using the Vertex as main drive, so for OS and backup?

Will using it this way slow it down significantly?

I want to keep my late 2008 2.66/8Gb 15" Unibody, until Sandybridge models are released, so hoping this will give me a 6 month upgrade and keep my buying urges at bay.

I wouldnt use anything that purposely writes to the SSD to erase stuff.

I have the OCZ Vertex 2 Sandforce 240gb and my macbook pro is super fast and its never slowed down since its got very good garbage collection to keep it running fast.

it boots in a matter of seconds and its well worth the money.

i also have 2 of those SSD in raid 0 in my Desktop windows PC and its LIGHTNING quick
