Spent some time last night trying to sort a puzzle:
I have an MP4 on my desktop that I enjoy when its time to take a break - right click>open with>Quicktime. Last night, this sequence, repeated several times, defaulted to another program - Nikon Vue - not really useful for MP4s. I looked for solution in Preferences to no avail. I could get it to work by starting Quicktime and the pulling the file but that was cumbersome.
Today I noticed that my USB hub (to which my CD/DVD player is attached was disconnected I had moved the computer) I reconnected it and normal operation was restored.
