So I have my iPhone X on MetroPCS. On the lock screen the “M” is faded. If I pull control center down the fading goes away for a second and then returns. The time does not do this. This just a software bug? Can’t imagine it is hardware as it works normally besides the lock screen.

Similar here in the UK with my carrier EE. My label reads ‘EE WiFiCall’ when displayed correctly in Control Centre.

‘As designed’ makes sense where the label is too long to fit within the space allocated on the lock screen.

That doesn’t make sense as if I pull control center down and back up it is normal for a second and then fades. The pictures I posted demonstrate that.

If I swipe down to reveal Control Centre, then the full label stays on screen and doesn’t revert to the cutoff version.
