Hello All,

I have file sharing turned on and it works great with Windows 7 PCs.

I share my Documents folder, and I have added a user just for sharing.

But here is the funny thing...when I go back to grab files from the Mac while logged into the PC a day or so after my first session, it does not work. The PC sees the share, but I can't log in. I have to go to the Mac, turn off file sharing, and then turn it back on again.

Once I do this, it works fine.

Any ideas and/or anyone out there routinely sharing files with a Windows 7 PC?

Make sure the time clock on the PC and the Mac are using the same time Sever. Plus don't use just Windows 7 'Home Group' . In Windows 7 use the sharing Advanced button to set up sharing. Windows 7 'HomeGroup' is Microsoft 7+ proprietary protocol. If you were sharing with XP (which doesn't have the 'Home group' code) you would see the same results.
