Odd problem with Fallout 4/PS4.

Ok, so something happened to my fallout 4 game, it refused to load yesterday - I just got a "error occurred" dialog box, no error codes, no nothing. I wonder if its related to a database corruption because I got some sort of message saying it was rebuilding the DB.

Anyways, it would not just start up, so I opted to delete the game and reinstall, now I get this error message:



The problem is when I hit the options button and tell it to check for updates, it says that I'm up to date, even though I see under information its version 1.00.

I don't see anything in downloads related to fallout 4 and no notifications now that I deleted the game. I tried re-downloading the DLC, and loading one of the first saved games I see in the list, nothing works.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Boot to just firmware and re-index the hard drive.

How do I do that?

I only see rebuild and initialize on the PS4 safe boot

Unforuntely that didn't solve it. I actually tried this a number of times.

Coincidence or not, I ran into a weird bug in starting the automatron quest where I was I needed to talk to the robot ada, but it was moving erracticelly and I was unable to talk to her. I quit the game, went on to other things and later in the day I went to fire up the PS4; it was at that point where I saw the rebuild database message, and after that it all went downhill. I had tried rebuilding the database a number of times but that was fruitless.

I'm not sure what else I can do. I'm restarting the game from scratch and everything seems to be working. I'm unable to load the older games but I am able to save and load under this new character.

Update to my issue:
I fire up my PS4 yesterday and low and I have the latest update downloading. Odd that it took a couple of days, perhaps there was an issue on the server side, even though I could access the PS network.

Either way, once the update as applied my old saves became accessible - whew
