Odd problem with Maps navigation

I have used the Maps navigation successfully on a number of occasions, but the last couple of times something weird has happened with the sound. The first instruction for the route is spoken, then no sound thereafter. I have checked that sound is on and at an audible volume, hardly necessary as I could hear the first instruction, but I just wondered if somehow the sound had been turned off but NOT. The route instructions work just fine, but only visually, so not very useful when alone in the car.

Any ideas?

Seems to have sorted itself out after a reset!! I guess I should have tried that earlier.
