So there I was, trying to remember how to take a screen shot, when I accidentally hit a key or combination of keys that seemed to sublty change the vividness and sharpness of my screen. It's not a brightness issue per se, and playing with F2 and F3 doesn't solve it, but something now seems a bit dull/dim/less clear about the look of the screen. Any idea what it might be?

    Check your System Preference>Accessibility settings.

Thanks. What should I look for in there exactly?

See if anything is checked or not set to "Normal" in Display.

You may have hit a modifier key combination by accident.

    System Preference>Keyboard>Shortcuts>Display (or Accessibility)
