So my computer just gave me one of those bs "you must restart your computer now" screens, and when it came back up, Word was broken. I tried updating office, but it gave me that screen again in the middle of installation. I also repaired permissions, fixed nothing. In fact, now, my Word 2004 app file is gone altogether. Any ideas?

1st, those kernal panics aren't bs.

2nd, it's probably wise to check the panic log to see what's causing the panics

3rd, you might want to uninstall office, and delete all office preference files, and repair permission. restart. reinstall office, install updates, restart.
