Office 08 updating problem

I've just updated to the latest service pack for office 08, and now all my office apps are in an infinite setup assistant loop. Whenever i want to open an office app, setup assistant opens and asks me if i want to help in an improvement program. No matter what i press, the office application doesn't open. It always goes there. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Delete the following files:

• ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office 2008 Settings.plist
•/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist
