I just got my new macbook and installed Office 2004 on it with no problems. I previously used Office 2007 for my pc, so i have some files that are not compatible with Office 2004.

Office leads me here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953823

i download the first, but the second wont install properly as i keep getting stuck at a certain point. When i get to the destination select, it shows my hard drive as translucent so it wont let me choose any destination.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

the problem still occurs with a restart and so i really need some help here!

Make sure that you get Office 2004 completely up-to-date before you install the file format converter (the second link on the page you listed).

Can you post a screenshot of what you see when you try to install the file format converter?

Regards,
Nadyne.
