Is it just me, or does Office 2004 not display the text as fast as you can type it under Leopard? Typing anywhere else in the OS is just fine, no problems at all; just when I type something in word, it seems to take a second to process then display.

    Anybody else experience this?

Try downloading the Office 2008 beta. Much faster.

freezing screen when using word for mac

Typing in word is indeed slower in Leopard, and, to my great dissatisfaction, the screen freezes everytime I have to type some diacritics. Does anybody have any idea how to fix it?

it is much faster, although illegal as they haven't released a public beta, really great though

anyway, office 2004 is not universal so is very slow, once 2008 comes out it will be faster.

    hope this helps!

Office works for me - but the auto-update doesnt't... I reinstalled Office after installing Leopard on my MBP, and the auto-update feature doesn't work like it does in Tiger. Although my 1 year old CD with Office 2004 is version 11.0, the auto-update informs me that no new versions exist.

    Anybody else noticed this?

    Excel stalls sometimes...

Excel stalls sometimes and I need to click out of the cell to get it working. Most annoying when inputting data...
I've been reluctant to upgrade to Office 2008 given the lack of VB support...
