For some reason, ever since I created a new user account for myself and erased my old one office 2008 has given me an error message every time I start up word 08. The error message says to rebuild the database using the database utility but every-time I try to do that it gives me an error message and when I verify the database it says it's ok. I tried reinstalling office 2008 but I keep getting the same message.

Here's a screenshot of it:

Have you made sure that you've fully deleted Office 2008? In your Office 2008 folder, go to the Additional Tools folder, then the Remove Office folder. Run Remove Office to get rid of everything, then try again.

My first guess is that you somehow have managed to install Office 2008 more than once, so when you launch Office 2008, it's looking at the identity from the other installation of it.

So try to run Remove Office, make sure that you delete all of the versions of Office 2008, and then reinstall. Let me know if that fixes your problem.

Nadyne.
