I have read inconsistent postings in various places that Office 2008 comes with 3 product keys.

However, mine only came with one product key.

Is this normal?

If I need a 1 additional product keys, what would be the most economical way of obtaining it?

Should I just buy another box?

This will be for my girlfriend who has her own computer.

Office '08 Student and Teacher Edition allows you to install the program on up to three different computers and is accompanied with 3 different user licenses. Any other version will only come with 1 user license. At this point you would have to purchase an additional license. One way to do this would be by purchasing a another copy of the program along with the license. That would probably be your easiest solution now.
