Office 2008 Upgrade Error

"You cannot install Office 2008 12.1.9 Update on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."

Running Office Version: 12.1.7

Running Mac OS X Leopard Version: 10.5.7

Any ideas?

not shocking it is Microsoft

download the update manually from MS and install it yourself instead of using the software update feature.

I have tried this but still get the same error🙁

Microsoft is starting to annoy me, about 1 hour away from beginning my download of Neo Office.
