Im not sure, but I would like to think that they could get Office:Mac 2008 right first.

Not sure about anyone else, but do you find that Word crashes quite frequently, especially after spell checking?

Im running the latest 12.1.3

I don't want updates.

I just want the exact same office that they offer on windows to be ported to mac. I would also like it to run at the same speed.

This has been well beyond Microsoft's capability thus far.

That would make things a lot simpler. In my opinion, the mac office is a crippled version of the one for Windows. I have enterprise on my PC, which has so many useful programs. Now, on the mac, I couldn't even get half of those. Just the absolute necessary ones.
I think MS does it on purpose.

considering that it was 4 years between major updates (Office 2004 was the last major update before 2008) i doubt a major release will happen by september

sorry, wait 3 more years.

office 2012!

by then iworks should totally blow it out of the water 🙂
