Office 2016 spinning beach ball of death?

So word, for example, it hangs while editing a doc but whenever I'm done and I quit word it always hangs with a beach ball of death for like 10 seconds? I have the latest update as for two days ago "16.10"
Anyone run across this issue?

How much free space do you have on your SSD? Office 2016 is by itself a storage hog but unless you're low on space or short on memory, you shouldn't be getting hangs during editing or the spinning beach ball when quitting Word. Also, what other apps do you have open at the same time?
