Have been for some time.
It was in beta until recently.Oddly when I installed Office on my new MBP, it loaded up the Intel versions. Only last night did it load the M1 native versions. Guess this was not the breaking news I thought!
If you get the apps from the Mac App Store, you'll get the ARM versions. It's been like this for almost a year now.Oddly when I installed Office on my new MBP, it loaded up the Intel versions. Only last night did it load the M1 native versions. Guess this was not the breaking news I thought!
No. Visual Studio Code is. Teams is.I thought MS went full electron?
HTML rendered components? No. Visual Studio Code is. Teams is.
AFAIK Office is native app but with HTML rendered components, but not electron.
A lot of apps use html modules for parts of their UI. The UI is injected into it and rendered.HTML rendered components?
Doesn't strike me as native then?A lot of apps use html modules for parts of their UI. The UI is injected into it and rendered.
Parts native, parts using an html component. It’s often used for blocks of text.Doesn't strike me as native then?
why would you do so? Avoiding constraints?Parts native, parts using an html component. It’s often used for blocks of text.
For some apps, it would be complex and inefficient to build the whole interface out of discrete elements. An html panel is a natural and more efficient way to display text with styling and layout properties.why would you do so? Avoiding constraints?
I'll try tonight via brand new M1 IMac..Mine does! It was an important factor for me as when I first subscribed I was mainly Windows and partner mainly macOS. Now we are both mainly macOS.
