Office License Install

We have the same Office license installed on 2 machines which we are using concurrently. I will be buying a second license this week. However, is there an easier way to validate the second license without re-installing?

I'd hate to re-install Office and then have to download all the updates simply to setup a new license. Tips appreciated.
