i got office 2011 home & business (academic) and was able to activate it on my desktop and laptop no problem.

i just reformatted and try to re-activate it on my mbp and it said that i've exceeded the number of activation so i had to call'em.

i called the number and when sally (automated) looked for my install ID, she asked me how many computers i have it installed. i said 1, and she said she couldn't help me at this time. well ok i called again and this time i said 2, and she still couldn't help me. she won't even let me talk to a real person and just said "good bye"...what a biatch

well anyways, can u install office mac 2011 on a desktop and laptop using same key 😕 i know u can do this with the windows version.

Yes you can. You get two licenses per purchase. Since you used two and then reformatted one of your Macs, you exceeded the number of licenses.
