Adapters for standard straps are going to be prime 3rd party opportunities. Some kick starter campaigns exist but I'm yet to see actual manufacturers releasing anything.

The classic buckle strap can be taken apart, and the leather band replaced. There are two screws holding the metal bar to the attachment mechanism on each piece of the strap. It shouldn't be difficult to do. I would do it, but I like the classic buckle strap as it is.
Why would they use pentalobe screws if they want to make it user changeable?
Its true that the band adapter can be pulled apart and used for other bands, but Apple doesn't sell them separately for that purpose. Not at this point anyway, I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
