I'm not sure when this came out (it was sometime today), but I just saw (and downloaded) the updated official Apple Remote app that gives control to iTunes.
I know this was long overdue and overlooked, but i thought i remember reading that it is basically one programmer at Apple working on it when needed.
Edit: Hmm in my excitment, I did not see the posting that was in a different section. Is there any way to delete my thread? And I think this deserves to be front page news!
