I'd like to know how the 16 Pro gets pretty significantly better battery life (around 22% more) over the non-Pro, when the capacity is only 0.7% more.

Is it just due to the ProMotion screen being able to lower the refresh rate when not needed? I can't imagine there is any real difference in consumption between the A18 and A18 Pro. Could it be the modem?

Everywhere else I’ve read it says the 16 Plus has a smaller battery than the 15 Plus.

Where can I find these battery size comparisons?

MacRumors just shared the stats. The 16 Pro Max has an ever so slightly bigger battery.

  • iPhone 16‌ - 3,561 mAh, up 6.3 percent
  • ‌iPhone 16‌ Plus - 4,674 mAh, up 6.6 percent
  • iPhone 16 Pro - 3,582 mAh, up 9.4 percent
  • ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ Max - 4,685 mAh, up 6 percent

That surprising comparing to the ”leak” but for me it’s still mystery, how the pro battery life got up like 4-5hours while non-pro only 1-2hours 🧐 did the pro got new techology of battery and the non-pro keep ”old” technology… love to see deep teardown analysis

It's likely a combination of LTPO 3 (1Hz) and X75 baseband.

but only the Wh mentioned earlier in this thread are a real comparison. I don't understand why everyone is focused on mAh, this is not really user relevant, the user wants to know the available energy.

a new EV? which one?
Ford Mach E.

AOD is the only way I can walk up to the car without having to unlock the phone and open the Ford app.

My work 14PM has AOD and is easy to unlock my EV.

Now, that I traded in my non AOD 14+ for a 16 Pro with AOD - it's just as easy now....
