Given that it’s very unlikely that Apple would send invites out on Friday, and they usually send invites two weeks before the event, is it safe to say we’re officially not getting an October event?

Lets see Friday....Friday is the day for the invites...if not chances almost 0 after that
So, no, the title is wrong...this should be made after 18th October if there are no invites..and remeber on Friday they usualy send them 9AM...or around 16-18PM UK time

I don't see any invites going out on Friday since at least before 2010:

Eight days seems to be the common number of days invites go out before events... so if by Wednesday next week there is no word, then...

Any reason we think it's October or bust? Is November impossible?

Going off of the event image you posted. There's never been a Mac event held in November before in the last 9 years. So while it's not impossible, if we're going off of past pattern it's highly highly unlikely and it would be an Apple first.

I propose the following tag line for this year’s 16” MacBook Pro non-event:

“The best 16 inches you never had”

Joe

So...good news...we can have an event now for showing the new airpods pro , the new macbook pro and maybe that tracking device...since Apple also have 1 hour event...this can fill that

And iPad Pro too I suppose?

Either way let's wait and see what happens. If I find the current 15" in a flash deal I might pull the trigger.

Best invite lines for a 16” MBP:

“We’re Keyed-Up”
“Keying-Up Something Special”
“Key You Soon”

apparently its not
Looks like it’s not coming till 2020 :/
It's coming with macOS 10.15.1.

This version includes support for the GPU that will be in the 16" MBP, and it contains a icon/graphic for the product already. 😆

So whenever 10.15.1 is coming, so is the 16" MacBook Pro. And considering it's at beta 3 already, it's not far from release.

It sounds like the icon was removed from the latest beta that just released - whatever that might mean I don't know..

Well typically that would be a goof, and when it gets noticed, it gets removed until the shipping version.

That's icing anyway. It is the Navi GPU support that tells the tale.
