I'm calling the cops
When I'm using Safari I relize that whenever I want to go to another webpage, it often says in the bottom left corner "connecting" to what ever site I;m navagating to. This can last anywhere form 2-15 seconds. I don't know why this is happening. I have a 7mbps connection and I am hardwired with Cat 6. Yet downstairs, the iMac G5 barely ever gets the "connecting" thing at the bottom. Can someone help me out?

I doubt I can really help much but...

Your MR profile reads a PM G5, is that the machine you're having slow loading issues with? Are both computers running the same version of OSX? Safari?

And when I used to use Safari, I found it would eventually bog down a bit and found that deleting the items from User> Library> Safari> Icons to be helpful.

 Maybe someone else will have more helpful info for you?
