For some time now, watching movies on Apple TV and Home Pods has become all but useless. The sound fluctuates back and forth. Sometimes loud then quiet again, sometimes just to the left then sometimes to the right. In addition, he sometimes sounds like he's very far away. This happens with both Apple Movies and Netflix. I've already unpaired the Home Pods as a stereo pair, reset them, and added them back to the Apple TV. no change.. watching movies with these things doesn't make sense anymore.

I have two sets of stereo pair OG’s that are default audio to their respective AppleTV and this is one of the things that has been pretty reliable for me.

How’s your network? I hate asking that but it could be the problem. Try rebooting it. Both my Apple TV’s are hardwired so that may be the reason they’re running good.

It is probably your Wi-Fi. HomePods hardware failures are more to do with popping/blinking lights.

Rock solid for me (frankly, the only thing about the pods/homekit that has been 100% reliable for me), but my Apple TV is wired and my Wi-Fi is plenty fast. They never disconnect and they sound great.

I don’t experience this but my appletv is hardwired. Also I turned off my appletv being the homekit hub when I did have issues.

My Apple TV is directly connected to the router via LAN. For example, if I connect my Bose Soundbar 500 to the Apple TV as an audio output device, this error does not occur.
