OGM + SRT how do I view?

HI..

I have an OGM movie file wth an SRT subtitle file. I have just downloaded a pluggin called VSFILTER for MPLAYER, but don't know where to put it, also MPLAYER just seems to crash when I try and play the OGM movie. Can anyone recommend what software or pluggin I can use to view this movie with the subs??

is your mplayer command-line or OS X app?

might be a preference list thing, delete all preferences related to mplayer in ~/Library/Preferences and try playing it again. Or try VLC.

it's an osx app and there aren't any preferences to delete? i can open the ogm with vlc, but am not sure what to do with the srt file?

forget I have mentioned this thread..... have turned on the subtitles track in vlc, and works fine. thanks.
