They're meant to be viewed from a little farther back, really.

These 3D maps won't be photo-perfect, unless Apple starts getting some truly ultra-high-res shots of these metropolitan areas. That will require satellite, plane, and probably helicopter capture. A big effort. A good place to be, but not right now.

They need to sort out the basic problems with Maps. Spelling errors, full-on naming errors, POI and address mismatches, etc...
