I have a little iCal alarm message show up every Thursday at 11pm telling me to back up. Sometimes I leave it for a few weeks if I haven't added anything significant.
It's so important to get your data backed up. I think i'd actually go insane if i lost EVERYTHING but come hell or high water, i'd be able to sacrifice some of my computers data from one of the many backups i have all over the place.
It's so straight forward, yes a little time consuming but I just concentrate on the hassle it would save in the unlikely event of a hard drive failure or god forbid something worse.
