It's good that Ohio State won, especially considering that they did everything they could at some points to give the game back to Michigan. I swear, at times it looked like the game was going to be lost by the center.

OTOH, I loved Troy Smith's fake handoff on fourth-and-inches near the end of the first half. Michigan really bit on that one. Even on the replay, it's hard to see until the last second that the ball is still in Smith's hand. :)

Now: what was Lloyd Carr thinking, forsaking the two point conversion? Ultimately it didn't matter, but if Michigan had lost the game by one point instead of three, he'd have been the goat.

Ditto on those bad snaps - scary moments there.

I'm glad it was a close game, this definitely shaped up to be a worthy No.1 v.s. No.2 match up.

I thought Michigan did a pretty good job of capitalizing on some OSU miscues, but I got the impression that if the Buckeyes hadn't bumbled here and there, the Wolverines would've lost by about 17. Henne kept missing open receivers, though he did make some nice throws. Big league arm on that kid.

I hadn't seen Ohio State play this year. In my mind, they are far and away the best time in the nation. I can't think of any other team that comes close.

Just got back from a party in the Short North...

Man, that was a good game. When Michigan scored that first touchdown 2 minutes into the game I thought, "That's it...Michigan will win...damn." But alas, Ohio State came back and they came back hard. Great offense, despite a few major hiccups here and there.

Bo is crying tears of infathomable sorrow right now.

Maybe. It was a great game, though. A lot more scoring than I thought, really. I wonder if Michigan will get a second shot. Really USC and Florida both have 1 loss as well - it just sucks that Michigan's had to come on the last game of the season since you know the polls will drop them to at least 4, which might kill their rematch hopes.

I had to laugh on the instant replay. That was one of the poorest snaps from center I've ever seen.

And that was one of the prettiest fake plays I've ever seen.

Turns out it didn't matter, but we were all asking the same thing, initially. Bottom line though is that OSU showed why it's ranked #1. I really don't want to see a USC vs. OSU championship game, but I'd prefer that to a Florida vs. OSU matchup, though it hasn't been a good day for most of my hope fors.

Rutgers is gone. Arkansas vs. Florida could still matter, but USC looks like they've got the W over Cal. And I don't even want to think about the Irish. Anyway, congrats to Buckeye fans. A classy win, today.

Now I need to pull for another Notre Dame vs Ohio State matchup.

Lets hope they can do it!
