Employee Owned Device

Does anyone on here have an ipad that they want to use at work but can't? I see tons of sales people with the ipad for sales presentations and wonder how many are setup for use on the company network...

Individuals and many smaller businesses can probably adopt the iPhone despite them, but not larger companies or those for which security is important (such as hospitals, government agencies, and financial services providers) and as such many business organizations will never incorporate the iPhone into their company, the reality of it is, security is still a major concern, they'd have to either employee a completely new tech team just to deal with the problems/concerns employees would have with incorporating the iPhone into their system the list goes on and on..

I work for a very large insurance company in the Medical space with over 40,000 employees world wide and we offer support for both with very little concern from above in terms of security. I'm not in IT and don't care to debate it, but in the end, if a multi-Billion dollar co. in the health care space can make it work without issue, I think somewhere the concerns are being blown out of proportion.

I just almost mentioned this. We use them and as a sales mgr. I have a very happy team.

We use them for presos and web mail. My reps still have laptops, but honestly, most only use them in the evenings when catching up on long emails or reports. Daily use is the iPad with Wireless.

Similarly, I work for a large corporation and they support both as of 6 months ago. They only had to be able to work out encryption and remote wiping.
