Are there any rumours out there that the iPhone 6s will gain OIS from its plus sibling?

I'm thinking about going to iPhone soon, but I would probably want the 6 size, rather than the 6+ size, however, I think OIS would be a necessity for me.

Is there any chance that the 6s could gain OIS?

Considering they didn't include it in the 6 I don't see them including it in the 6S. It's one of the things that differentiates the regular 6 from the plus model.

It's a possibility. I personally think that the 6S will gain what the 6+ had exclusively, which was OIS and a full 1080p screen. Then they will add something else new to the 6S+ exclusively.

Obviously I could be wrong, but who knows at this point.

I agree. The thing that differentiate them will be the 2GB of Ram in the 6S+. Otherwise they will wait till the 7 to give it OIS and 1080P.

I think there's a good chance for OIS in the regular 6s model. Pretty much all flagships come with OIS in their cameras (some with OIS 2.0), so it would be an embarrassment if the iPhone doesn't come with it, especially considering one of the major selling points for the "S" models is the camera improvements.

I would not be surprised if the iPhone 6s has Optical Image Stabilization. Think about it. It came first with the iPhone 6 Plus, and not with its smaller brother. From what I recall quite a lot people went for the 6 Plus, just because of OIS. Others wanted to have it, but finally chosen the iPhone 6 or didn't upgrade at all to wait for the next iPhone. If the iPhone 6s will have it, there's another reason for people to buy it.

Since Digital Image Stabilization seems to prove well I don't really feel like I need OIS. Would be nice addition to the specs list though. You know, just for those Fandroids that always complain about iPhone not having great specs and all. But again, for me OIS is definitely not a requirement. :p

They certainly don't need it for video. The digital stabilization in the iPhone 6 beats all the OIS video I've seen from the competition. None of that warpy effect you see in the handheld shots from the S6 or G4 is present on the 6. They really nailed this feature. Some of the footage I've seen is so smooth it looks like it was shot with a steadicam.

There's certainly a chance...as usual when it comes to something we don't really know details of...and at this point is essentially 50/50.
