I had a thread regarding my the crazy route of my TiBook. It went from CA, to Hawaii, all the way to Boston. It took 9 days to arrive rather than the scheduled 2.

Here is the situation with the replacement keyboard I ordered. Why does this keep happening? In this case, it took 5 days to go from midstate Eugene, Oregon to Anaheim in southern California (900 miles south). The package currently says it's "In Transit, Delayed"). Note I don't believe my TiBook ever said it was delayed when it went on vacation off-continent. I've verified the shipping information which is correct on this current purchase. I checked the box my TiBook came in and it too has the proper city, state, and zip code.

I live in the Boston metro area. My town has nearly 60,000 residents. There are two subways within 2 minutes of my home. I am not in the middle of nowhere. Next time I need to see if shipping to a different address will improve my luck. If you don't know what a schlemiel is, I am the definition.

A few things seem REALLY wonky with that.

Four business days to get from Eugene to Anaheim. That's *REALLY* long. Even if it is a single driver driving 8-hour shifts, it should only take 2 days. (And departing at 11:19 PM and arriving at 3:12 AM sort of disproves the "8-hour shifts" part.)

Going from Eugene to Anaheim? Why in the name of Hades wouldn't it just go 2 hours North to Portland, rather than 14 hours South to the LA area!

I have had this happen multiple times with crap on ebay. I swear they set your package down somewhere and seriously forget it for DAYS. When it arrives the shape of the package has always been fine. Just...got lost in their buildings.. lol

It annoys both buyers and sellers alike.... lol

Ok, update. The package finally made it to Boston this evening. It has to be transferred to my neighboring town and then delivered. Let's hope that will happen within a reasonable time period, unless it decides to redirect to Florida or something.

did it sit on a lawn chair on the beach with a glass of drink with a straw on lemon? ROFL

I don't know. It arrived in Hawaii on 3/5 and appeared in Boston on 3/10. It said it left Honolulu 4 times but apparently lied 3 of those times. You tell me bro?
