I will have the new ipad soon (the ipad 3) and I have few questions which I think need to be addressed.

Sure I love the retina display but...

1. Does the Ipad restrict you? According to my younger brother who owns an ipod touch before and a galaxy tab 7.7 now, apple seems to rely on computers with iTunes so much. It won't let me play with android users and I would have to find the app again in the app store in case I decided to cancel the downloading app. Are those true?

Then, how should I deal with it?

2. He also said I users won't be able to edit or delete music in the ipad unless you plug it in your computer and have the itunes do the job for you.

3. Also, when playing loaded youtube videos(the gray one which let's you know if you can already play the vid), he said that sometimes you have to let youtube load again if you want to replay the vid.

4. I'm worrying about viruses, will the ipad have those easily? Is it necessary to have an apple computer when you have an apple device?

5. Since I will get the cellular version, does it work like a phone where you can dial your friend's number and call immediately just like how my brother call with his galaxy tab 7.7? I heard about VOIP calls but what is that exactly? How does it differ?

6. The Ipad won't support flash right? I'm sure flash is important. But how important is it really? I heard of androids having ad blocker. Why don't we have those?
Thanks

I use my iPad without a computer most of the time. You do not need iTunes. I only go to the computer to backup my apps, since my internet connection is fairly slow. If you have a decent connection, I get under 1mbps... you won't need to backup to a computer. You need a computer to even activate the iPad, I know a few people who use their iPhone/iPad without a PC.

Then, how should I deal with it?

2. He also said I users won't be able to edit or delete music in the ipad unless you plug it in your computer and have the itunes do the job for you.

You can delete music, by swipping it and hitting delete, not sure about editing it, since I hardly listen to music on the iPad, or have a need to edit it. You can also get music from the iTunes store, or alternatively you can put it on through iTunes through a router or a usb cable to the computer.

3. Also, when playing loaded youtube videos(the gray one which let's you know if you can already play the vid), he said that sometimes you have to let youtube load again if you want to replay the vid.

I don't understand what you're saying here.

4. I'm worrying about viruses, will the ipad have those easily? Is it necessary to have an apple computer when you have an apple device?

Viruses are non-existent on iPad, android are more likely to get these viruses.

When I do backup my apps, I use a Windows laptop to do that, you don't need a apple computer for any apple device.

5. Since I will get the cellular version, does it work like a phone where you can dial your friend's number and call immediately just like how my brother call with his galaxy tab 7.7? I heard about VOIP calls but what is that exactly? How does it differ?

You cannot natively, you can do that with Skype but I would wait for more responders to gain more information

6. The Ipad won't support flash right? I'm sure flash is important. But how important is it really? I heard of androids having ad blocker. Why don't we have those?

Flash is hardly used within the internet... If you do need Flash, which is unlikely you can download other web browsers which convert the flash into HTML5 one would be skyfire.

I don't get ads on my iPad, I visit various sites, safari is very good at blocking pop-ups.
Thanks

I would wait for some more posters to help you even further.

ok thanks for that, plus one for you.

another additional question, I heard ipad3 has different screen manufacturers. which one is the best? And how can you determine the screen manufacturer of your ipad?

Aside from screen manufacturer difference, what else difference do you know?

1. Does the Ipad restrict you? According to my younger brother who owns an ipod touch before and a galaxy tab 7.7 now, apple seems to rely on computers with iTunes so much. How about when playing with other people? Also, someone confirm when downloading in the app store-the thing when you want to stop the download, you have to find it again in the store.
Then, how should I deal with it?

I don't understand what you're saying here.

You see gray bars when you load youtube vids? For example, I'm done loading it, and I decided to rewatch it, he said that sometimes, that loaded gray would reset and you would wait for it to load to watch the vid again.

What if my pc had a virus and I plug my ipad to it? Will my ipad get affected?

5. Since I will get the cellular version, does it work like a phone where you can dial your friend's number and call immediately just like how my brother call with his galaxy tab 7.7? I heard about VOIP calls but what is that exactly? How does it differ?

ok thanks it's clarified.

6. The Ipad won't support flash right? I'm sure flash is important. But how important is it really? I heard of androids having ad blocker. Why don't we have those?

Will I be able to watch youtube videos and or download it (how do you download youtube vides?)? Should I connect to youtube or use an app?
Thanks
