Ok this is probably a noob question but...

I've searched for a while now, and I can't figure out how to turn off that annoying popping sound whenever you adjust the volume.

Can someone help? Ty

Take a look in 'Sound' in System Preferences – there's a tick box there to turn the sound off.

You can also hold down the shift key while using the volume buttons to silence the noise if you don't want to permanently disable it. Also option+shift+volume keys provides 1/4 volume steps.
