ok this might be a stupid question..how the heck do u rename a hd?..

    So i partitioned my hd.. but it's called "Untitled"... how do i rename it? i hold control and click on "untitled" then clicked "get info" then saw "name & extension" but it won't let me rename it... :confused: am i doing something wrong? Thanks.

    Click the drives title on the desktop, then click it again, start typing in the name, hit the return key when you are done.

    -Or-

    You can also open the info window for the drive and edit the name in the "Name & Extension" field half way down the window. Hit return when done.

    Nope..it doesn't work. I can rename my macintosh HD..but not my "untitled" one.. is my partition hd locked or something? if so.. how do i unlock it so i can rename it.. cause it won't let me.

    Is this a Boot Camp partition? If so, it needs to be done in Windows.

    Yep. Just change C: to whatever you want.

    Ya if its formated in NTFS you will not be able to rename from Mac OS.

    you can right after u partition in boot camp but thats the only time you can do it other wise it'll lock well atleast for me

    Unless you buy something like this, which gives you full NTFS read and write support until OS X. I've found it enormously useful.
